In order to provide citizens and visitors an easy way to enjoy free Wi-Fi service in Macao, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (hereinafter referred to as "CTT") encourages local organizations to offer free Wi-Fi services at different locations in Macao under a unified brand name "FreeWiFi.MO".
CTT welcomes different organizations to join the program to provide "FreeWiFi.MO" free Wi-Fi service. The benefits of participating in the program include:
One of the SSIDs provided by the indoor Wi-Fi hotspot must be 'FreeWiFi.MO by "Service Provider Name"';
The number of concurrent users supported by each AP via above SSID should not be less than 10;
Each user can enjoy a minimum of 1Mbps downstream and upstream access speed, and the total free connection time per day is not less than 30 minutes;
Applicants must submit the Application Form and Hotspot Information Form through letter or email to CTT for the registration;
If the hotspot is cancelled or the information changes in the future, the applicant must update CTT by submitting the relevant Application Form through letter or email.
Note: In the case of outdoor Wi-Fi hotspots, you must comply with the relevant regulations and guidelines issued by the CTT regarding the provision of outdoor public wireless local area network services.
